From the start, a young company seeks to establish its identity through branding and establishing its reputation in the marketplace. Yet business owners often are unaware of what it takes to create a brand that is entitled to broad protection under the law. This program will provide insight into how to select a trademark, conduct a search to ensure availability, establish rights in the mark, and obtain a federal registration. The discussion will also include strategies for monitoring and pursuing infringement.

James Griffith has been protecting the brands and creative assets of his clients for over 20 years. His clients range from Fortune 100 companies seeking management of international portfolios to start-ups creating and applying for their very first trademarks. He counsels clients throughout the entire intellectual property life-cycle, from conception and selection through registration and enforcement, including litigation.

Limited tickets available for in-person workshop. Streaming details will be sent out to registered guests the week of event.

2112 workshops are supported by Shure, Ayre Productions, Comcast Business, and SlingStudio.
