This session will consist of basic and best principles for earning media coverage for your product, your brand, for yourself. In 60 minutes we will cover the differences between public relations, marketing, and advertising and when to best use them. We’ll also cover how to develop your “elevator statement” into a pitch the media will be more receptive to. Finally, attendees will have first priority in setting mentor hours to discuss their specific needs.
DeSoto & State's principal, Ryan Arnold, has worked in communications, brand development, and advertising for more than 15 years. He has advised on public relations and media outreach strategies for several local and national organizations and is regularly called upon to conduct communications and media training. Additionally, Ryan is known in Chicago media as a respected on-air personality at the iconic radio station WXRT.
